ABOUT ME
My name is James Jacque and I am an Inuit artist from Postville, Nunatsiavut, Canada, currently residing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador.

I focus mainly on digital illustration and 2D animation, currently developing my own independent animated series as well as illustrated children's books.
My style can be described as cartoonish, childlike, expressive, playful.
Throughout my life I've found inspiration in artists such as Richard Scarry, Kim Jung Gi, Hayao Miyazaki, my great grandmother Nellie Winters, David Orellana, Kirill Kogan, Jens Claessens, and Gastón Pacheco, amongst others.

In my day-to-day life I raise my two beautiful children alongside my life partner, actively working to nurture their imagination and give them creative outlets for their thoughts and feelings. They are the inspiration behind so much of my art.
